please help my chicks are throwing up

It's awful! i went out to feed them and they all ran over to eat but when they started eating they all started to vomiting up brown liquid and they kept eating i fixed their water and they went to drink and threw up again! please help! i dont want them to die... oh and their crops are swollen only some though - please help

sorry I just have always referred to them as chicks - thank you so much!! - and this morning after i gave them iced water and frozen treats - their crops were empty and no more throwing up!

Had they run out of feed and water? It almost sounds as if they had gorged on both feed and water because of that.

Do you notice any foul odor in the vomitus?
Were their crops swollen first thing this morning?

Not that i know of - i did go away for a week on a trip and had someone care for them - maybe she just didn't give them enough feed? Didn't smell an odor but yes their crops were swollen since 7 that i know of. will they be ok?

Crops should be empty in the morning.
This could be impacted crop.
Can you massage it to check? Does it feel hard?

no it's very soft and squishy
what's an impacted crop?

In your first post you mentioned that you had 'fixed their water'. What did you mean by that?

Just that I cleaned it and refilled it
