Please help!! My duckling hatched with egg sack still attached

It is really hard to keep them alive if they break the yolk sack but it most likely had issues before hatching. As sad as it is, sometimes it is a relief to lose them sooner rather than later if they are not going to make it. When there is a visible problem at hatching there are likely unseen problems as well. I have a hard time culling but I have learned that sometimes it is best to walk away and leave it to fate rather than spending too much time and mental energy on a problem I can't solve.

I couldn't cull her, so I let nature take its course. I usually don't have a problem with culling when it came time with my other birds in the past.
