Please Help my power went out on day 20

Well, I'm just thinking off the top of my head but how about some hot, wet wash cloths near the eggs, on top of some plastic? All husbands think we're crazy!!

Also is there some thing the car can run like a light or anything warm to set next to the bator? that would help.

I have about 20 left to hatch. My humidity is up to high now but my hubby is going to take out some water. What a mess.

I'm more concerned about my golden sebright and silkie eggs that are in there. The rest are our RIR eggs from our own flock.

Just put a wash cloth in to soak up the water and close the bator,,,,within a half hour take the washcloths back out

Bird lover, you really ARE a bird lover but that makes perfect sense! Their own body heat under the blankets. I wonder if they could put the eggs in something like a shallow Tupperware type dish to save the chicks AND the bedding. The thing I would really worry about is what happens when everyone has to go to work tomorrow if the heat is still not back on?

I read on here if you can put your bator up on, say 4 cans, and put candles under them that the candles should keep it warm. It's worth a try. Goood luck.

i just put a heating pad on the top of bator. The humidity is fine so i am going to see if that will bring the heat up. I have a thick towel on top of that. Please Pray i do not want to lose these babies. The heat pad is ran from the cars converter.
