Please help. My sweet chick is four weeks old and has some sort of neck tumor!

Could be a fatty tumor. We are all guessing. I would look up a exotic bird vet. I took mine to the vet once but did not make it in time she passed on the way. But just to give you an idea a Necropsy for her would have cost me $85.00 needless to say I opted not to have that done. Chalked it up to a bacteria infection. So, what I am saying is you can spend the money look for a vet with exotic birds as they may see you with your chicken. Also call around and you may be able to get a phone number of a vet and where to take her from a local vet kind of like a referral. Best of luck!

The one prob is when I put ontment on the other chicks notice it and peck at it. Otherwise they don’t seem to notice it if it’s not shiny. And when I did separate the hurt chick from the others it paced back and forth chirping and anxious and I felt badly for it :(

i can understand you feeling badly about separating 1 chicken from others but its all for there own good.a few days apart wont kill chicken but chickens pecking at wound and it getting infected might just kill it.

Large wounds need to be kept moist more so than very small wounds for the reason that tissue regrowth over large areas is critical.

For small wounds, say a quarter inch or less, Blu-kote is sufficient to prevent infection and it has the benefit of also camouflaging the wound so the chick can return to be with the others.

If it scabs up before puss and bacteria has drained it will most likely .swell back up and get infected.I would say 2 or 3 days at most before you can stop ointment and let chicken back with others.

Update pics just as an FYI
Please pardon the mess
