Please help. my thermometer fell on one of my chicken eggs and it has a huge dent and a lot of crack

Just now, I wanted to meet the temperature so the thermometer per accidently fell hard on my chicken egg. There is a huge dent on it and a few more haired cracks. I immediately put some nail polish on, it was see through nail polish because I was too shocked so I just grabbed any nail polish. I candled it afterward and saw that the embryo is still moving. I'm still in shock. Will my chick be alright? I'm at day 9 and there is no leakage

There are many threads concerning cracked eggs. I had a cracked egg and wish that I had read them first, but it never occurred to me that it could be fixed. Some people have used wax, liquid bandaid, and yes nail polish. I would worry that nail polish would become brittle since you are only half way through your hatch, but I have read that it has been used successfully. If the egg is sealed from bacteria and is not leaking, it should be good.

Guys thanks for all the helpful replies. I just candled my eggs and the embryo is still moving. Or atleast I hope
