Glad you found it.

I've also read recent discussions on here of folks that abandoned the daily cooling because they forgot to return the eggs. I think the general consensus is that you can hatch them without cooling each day. I know that would be me -- I'd get to doing something else and forget.

I have it in with with the duck eggs. I made a little holder for it to keep it in the turner and it has its own turning rack thing. duct tape really does do everything. I folded a piece on its self and wrapped it the long way around from top to bottom so it wont fall out. Also added a fan to the bator too. I hope to at the very least get my ducks to hatch. I have no idea where the goose will live just yet lol

If it hatches, then it will be a little younger than the ducks.

You might get lucky and be able to keep a Toulouse with a group of Pekins. Especially if it's a goose and not a gander, so as to reduce breeding-season issues. It has worked for lots of folks. I've just never raised them together before, so my ducks and geese have always kept to themselves.

If you have only a single goose, that would be better for the goose in fact. They don't do well alone.

Yeah this was not a planned thing that is for sure. Maybe it will think its a duck

Do you know if I could lay the egg down on the turner rack and secure it with a belt and it still be "turned" that way. Someone said they do better laying down. I just don't know

Hopefully someone with incubator experience will see your question ... But I'd think they do better on their sides since that's pretty much the way the goose does it.

I just hatched my first batch of goose eggs someone gave me.I have cabinet incubators,so I just fabricated a way to keep them still laying on their sides(obviously tilting sidewards, not top to bottom)...I ran them same temp and humidity as chickens, but on day 28 they started hatching out.Day 29 I had 9 out of 13 that made it to lockdown hatched.Lost one during hatch and3 left to hatch? Still have 4 in the bator though, because they were not as far along as the others....still movement that i could see,but not fully developed.Everything I could find when I was looking said 28-33/34 days.
