Super African dewlap incubation

Im so sorry threw my shoulder out I stop turning on day 24 25. How did the hatch go since you were on 26 5 days ago or are you hatching today
I stopped turning on Friday so day 27. I candled beforehand and I swear I could see what looked like a beak ever so slightly in the saddle sack egg. And both eggs had movement. Today is day 30 so I’m just being as patient as possible not opening anything up. Haven’t seen a crack on either egg or anything though

Im so sorry but if you see movement you can make a emergency air hole for them if you dont see a pip. let me call out to someone who may be able to help @Deja_view

I don’t know when to worry and make an air hole since today is day 30 but there was definitely movement when I candled before lockdown on day 27.
I haven’t seen the egg rock or anything like that since putting into lockdown

with a normally hatched egg I usually see what i call a wriggle its a little shadow at the bottom of the air cell its not a internal pip just like a little ghost feather wiggling around at the bottom of the air cell (its the baby turning). I dont usually see a internal pip for at least 24-48 hours after that After the internal pip which is when you can see the beak poking around it can take 24-48 hours. around 24 hours is when you have to make a decision do you give a air hole.

I haven’t seen an internal pip but I also haven’t candled the eggs I thought once they were in lockdown you shouldn’t open the incubator until they hatch should I take it out and check?

The saddle sac egg I didn’t see a beak in the air cell but still movement
The other egg for sure looked like it had a shadow breaking into the air cell and also movement
Day 30 technically started like a a few hours ago

baby is transiting to breathing air you have time. one is learning to breath the other may take some time has to find the air first. Im headed to bed so things you can do if you need to check again. First boil some water before you reopen the incubator. Dip a clean wash cloth in the water and add it to the incubator after you open it the steam will raise the humidity right away in the bator.. Know its not unusual to them to hatch 24 hours apart.

Also watch the saddle just in case it pips out the wrong end. but shuld show up.
