She seems sick though. I have broody mama's? Her bum is very hard and she hasn't pooped all night. I'll go put a egg by her and see if she will tuck it.Any chance she’s going broody? Just trying to think of what else this could be.
Okay I just don’t know why she’s laying down. I’m no expert for chicken diseases or anything though. She seems sick though. I have broody mama's? Her bum is very hard and she hasn't pooped all night. I'll go put a egg by her and see if she will tuck it.
Only for baths. She doesn't want to walk, and she was out yesterdayHas she been out of that cage at all?
Oh okay. I’m really not sure. Hopefully others will chime in.Only for baths. She doesn't want to walk, and she was out yesterday
Not very vocal. I took her out of the cage and she walked in laced on the egg and is now drinking water. Would a broody hen tolerate a bath? Video coming shortly. Is she being vocal at all?
She seems broody to me as well. A broody will only leave her nest once, sometimes twice a day for food and water. They also hold their poops until then as well. So all the things you've described also describe a broody hen. A video or two may confirm or deny that though.
