I just hatched a clutch of eggs in our incubator. On chick was zipped half way around it's shell and then stopped. I guess it got sticky although humidity was at 75% or higher all day. When we moved all the other chicks over, I hear this one still chirping and helped it out of it's shell. It is alert and trying to clean it's self, but one foot is kind of curled and it can't seem to walk very well. Is there something to be done for this foot? Does it need more time (only been out of the egg for about 2 hours.) Any help would be appreciated. I can post a picture if needed.

If It were me .... I would wait for a a while and leave her in the incubator .. Some take a lot longer to get all perked up . I had one once that took almost a full day to figure her feet out I thought her feet were to big for her lol ... they just stuck out so far .. about 24 hours later she seemed to catch right on to this new walking thing and was up and about.. They are usually so weak at First after that exhausting job getting out .

Just an update. I did leave it and it had improved by the time I had to leave. I brought it home with me and the four chicks I am keeping. One toe was curling up. I sort of splinted it with a bandaid to hold the position. This morning I removed the bandaid. Tonight it is doing great!
