Hi,
The littlest brown 1 is about 4-5weeks, the other 2 are between 5-6 weeks old. Breeds would be great too :)
thanks in advance

Honestly - it is a little early to accurately sex these cute little guys. Your little black one Astralorp? looks like my pullet named Dolly....I would give it another few weeks. It is hard to be patient I know but I would wait and just enjoy them at this age for now.

Ive been impatiant since day 1 :) i actually thought the black one was a roo cause he keeps attacking the other 2 and jumping at them, but since ive always just bought laying hens and not chicks i have no idea :)

The black one looks like a Roo to me. We have a few orp roos that show that 'aggressive' behavior. Does the black one like to 'charge' at you? I've noticed all of our Roos like to 'charge' at you when you walk away. The girls could careless where you are going. Also our young Roo's liked to chest bump each other when they were real young. None of our hens, maran, americauna, black star/sexlink, orp, or RIR have had a defined comb before 3mo nothing like the Roos.

None of them charge at me, just follow me round like little shadows. He/she is the only one that chest bumps the others which is what made me first think roo, but i would love to be wrong as i dont want to get rid of any of them!

Black one looks like an astralorp to me too, the one looks like an egg layin champ Red Star, and then the other a leghorn? def the red is a pullet, hard to tell on the black, and the white may be a pullet too. . the cockerel leghorns start getting a big comb pretty fast

I had my heart broken by a few roos too, they were chest bumping at 4wks. They would have made some very pretty hens but instead they became the bullies of our flock. I hope you have better luck than we did!

i hope they are all just girls, my daughter willbe devestated - the black one 'lucy' is hers :) but ive had a feeling it was a boy for a couple of weeks now :( the other 2 are chick (the white one) and hairy (the red star?) all have become part of our family and will be sad if we have to get rid of any as we cant keep roos in suburbia :(
