Please help! Something attacked my hen!

Molting is stressful and painful. A bath would make her feel miserable. Removing a few feathers would be the better option.
I’m glad to hear this because I didn’t want to bathe her! She is a mess… her left side of feathers/wings is all globbed together with neosporin hence wanting to bathe her but I’m sure she will be a beauty again in no time! (I tell her this daily) here is a before and after… one month apart 😂🙈 she is going to be very upset that I’m sharing these pics! ;)

Yup, that's about what my yearlings look like right now. I've asked them if they went for a ride in the hurricane but they just give me the side eye and say, Not Funny, Meemaw. (We are in Missouri, nowhere near hurricane path, lol.) I think I am hilarious and they have no sense of humor but oh well.

Haha! I tell her she is beautiful but she isn’t buying my flattery! Lol! Trimmed some feathers this morning and got some neosporin on her! Looked a bit better this morning too 🙏🏻🐓

Broken or cut feathers will only grow back when she molts. Feathers yanked out grow back anytime.

I kept my Myrtle inside for nearly 4 months while I waited for her eye to heal and for her to regain her strength. She hated me then, but she loves me now. I'm sure you'll find the same. It seems like afterwards they almost know that the torture is meant to help.
My favorite hen got a month of foot soaks in salt water to soften the bumblefoot on both feet so it would dry up and come off easily .The hardest part was bandaging her feet for 6 weeks .Catching her everyday was a nightmare thru that ordeal.

Does she have new feather growth in any of the areas where feathers are missing?
I see some new feathers starting grow but I think the molting is new..could this be something besides molting? Here is her back currently… she is dark due to neosporin…a neck shot too.. I’m seeing her losing feathers for sure!

Ok SO I put neosporin on her again today.. twice and I’m telling you she eats it all off!! The entire glob! Twice! With her pecking at the neosporin she is pecking wound? I’m wondering if I need to stop neosporin (how much can she eat before it’s toxic) OR should I cover this wound? 😞 She seems obsessed with picking it, especially after I’ve cleaned it..
