PLEASE HELP STRAY TINY DUCKLING

I'd keep an eye out for the mama wood duck. I can't imagine this tiny thing strayed that far (although possible) so maybe mama isn't too far away. If you take it outside, while keeping it safe, maybe mama duck will hear it and come to take it back. Just a thought

This just happened last week remember where the member's child scared mama wood duck off she flew off and the member got the ducklings I think she had them overnight and then mama wood duck returned and they had a reunion.

I very much wish mama duck would wander in and take baby ducky with her!!! Mama duck > rehabber. I've been searching since 8am when ducky showed up - no other ducklings or any mama alive anywhere. It's been outdoors the whole time but only peeped when I first put in the mirror. Unfortunately, I have to keep it in the tote or it'll be dead in no time. We're out in the country - surrounded by hundreds of acres of sugar cane (and a fairly large river) *full* of wild and domestic critters whose life goal is to kill/eat my chickens and little old cat. This little duck is the luckiest living thing on the whole planet.

Do you remember who that happened to? Or how old the ducklings were?
I get up at 530am, I could have ducky out in a circle of chicken wire tomo morning and wait, unseen, nearby.
There are no children around for over a mile. My chickens haven't noticed ducky or squawked at anything today. My cat is small, old, and Persian. SpEd kitty couldn't possibly care less about any other animal or bug.
