The other day we had a particularly warm day, rain moved in and yesterday was much colder. This is why I thought yesterday my tom turkey had his feathers ruffled up and wasn't as active after the sudden change in weather. Well today he isnt breathing hardly and is turning purple in the head/neck. He is not gasping at all and has his mouth closed. I tried picking him up and setting him on his feet tonsee if I could get him up and he refused, he wouldnt even stand up. Is there anything I could do at this point or cull him?

Do you have pictures? I’m not sure if eating him without knowing what’s wrong would be a good idea.

I do not have pics of him right now but I can get some tomorrow in hopes he makes it through the night. We gave him a dose of respiratory soluable powder and shortly after he was able to stand but he is still lathargic, purple coloring and his neck and head feel cool and not warm to the touch. He is still keeping his eyes closed for the most part but he finally is able to stand so I am crossing fingers. I also gave him some nutridrench. Also on hand I have doxytetracycline, and baytril oral solution. I only have 2 more doses of the respiratory soluable powder, so I went ahead and ordered more and I'm thinking baytril or doxytetracycline until the respiratory powder gets here. I just don't know if there's anything else I can do. He is not eating or drinking on his own. Any other ideas? My kids are really upset he is sick and have been in tears. Thank you again for the reply!!
