I am currently on day 22 for hatching eggs, and a good 75% had hatched but one was really weak. He/She was the smallest among all of the healthier ones.

I have a homemade incubator, and a steady temp. of 100 Fahrenheit, and a humidity of 45-50% for the first 18 days, and 65% from 18-22. I had help it hatch out of its shell. It was really weak and cant even stand by its own, and its head is always buried.
it is closing its eye and keeps on curling like it was in the shell. he/she is currently 5-6 hours old, and I am worried that it won't make it.

This is my first time hatching/raising chicks.I don't know what to do, but I put it in a cup(with drilled holes) and kept it in the incubator.
Any help/suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

I believe so, but it was bleeding pretty badly when I helped. His/her eyes aren't opening, and it isn't raising it's head. Whats wrong with tht?

bleeding isnt a good sign. you helped it out of egg? always stop if there is blood. it means you did it too soon. as long as chick has air it is ok to be in incubator. when it is ready the yolk and veins will absorb.

i would keep it isolated from other chicks and keep it warm. in the incubator if theres nowhere else. dont try to give water, weak chicks drown easy. it should have enough food in yolk for a couple of days.

i hatched a batch recently and last ones came out day 23. they were late but fine. its normal variation imo.

Ah, I guess its too late, its already out. I've isolated it already. What should I do now?

Also out of curiosity, what is the ratio of hen:roosters when your hatching eggs?

Thanks
