Can someone please tell me what breed this is we have a rooster and hen very docile and love the children eat right out of their hands

Hi and welcome

I agree that there are 3 male birds in the photo. Individual close up photos of them would help identify breed but I think they may be mixed breed form the little I can make out.

Do be very careful with cockerels and children, particularly allowing them to hand feed. It puts children in a very vulnerable position as well as signalling to the cockerel that he is dominant over the child just by the act itself and the birds' temperament can change overnight. I appreciate that they may seem very placid/docile at the moment but that can change very rapidly, particularly as the birds mature.

Hope my warning is unnecessary but please be vigilant.

Regards

Barbara

Welcome!

I agree that the picture has three roosters in it .. very handsome little guys! As far as breed, not my area of expertise but as suggested, posting on the Breed or Gender Forum may get your answer.

Best wishes to you and your flock.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends

Hi Welcome to BYC - I have never known 3 Roosters live together happily but suppose if they have no hens to fight over it might be ok, but I am no expert. I do agree with rebscora about the little ones around Roosters they can get very nasty. As for what breed, no idea, I had to ask what mine were when I first started. Enjoy your chooks.
