one of my chickens did this when she was new to laying. but did it again a few times over the years, she is an old bird now and will still do the odd weird egg.

so there is nothing wrong with my hen, it just happens. Because lime i said on the other page i suspect it is one hen because i used to get an egg a day per hen now one missing for few days but when she does lay the eggs is almost double the size of normal quail eggs

How old is she and what percent protein feed are they on and do you supplement calcium?

How old is she and what percent protein feed are they on and do you supplement calcium?

She is about 2years old max and rhey get between 18 to 25% protein and i also give them some meal worms if i can. There is always crushed oyster shells available for them.
