Metronidazole is the same as Flagyl.Which is the same as the fish product,I know the name but can't think of it.Fish zole,the good ole internet.
Your vet should carry metronidazole.Its like 8.00 for 15 pills.If he isn't familiar with birds don't take him in a stress your bird out.You need an avian vet.

Just explain to him it's a huge gamebird that you would rather not catch.You read up on the problem and that metronidazole is the treatment.It was years ago when I went thru this problem,but back then 8.00 for 15 pills,even if it doubled it's well worth the money.

Ok. We are thinking it is a sinus infection now because have only has two of the symptoms. And the pus is only in his choanal. I am going to remove the pus tonight and go from there.

I would want to touch a q-tip to the yellow gob and see it something came off on it. I don’t have an avian vet but think my regular vet would be curious enough that he’d look at the swab under a microscope for me and give me his opinion.

Yes we have a bunch. The closest it petco. Do you think they would have it? Or more of a fish store.

Metronidazole is often sold as Fish-zole. I keep it on hand for my dogs.

My parents said we should not. My dad said unless he gets worse or starts loosing weight we should leave him be. He thinks that if we restrain him he could have a heart attack.
So I guess I will just do probiotics and maybe some baytril. I’ll see at what @casportpony says.

Do you have Baytril on hand?
