No not that kind of store. A real fish only type store is what I meant.Yes we have a bunch. The closest it petco. Do you think they would have it? Or more of a fish store.
PetsMart and PetCo carry something called API General Cure, but it contains 250 mg metronidazole and 75 mg praziqiantel. If you were 100% sure that he had canker you could try this, but something with just metronidazole would be much safer.Yes we have a bunch. The closest it petco. Do you think they would have it? If that is pus I bet he has a bacterial sinus infection, and that pus needs to be removed. If he were mine i would remove pus, start Baytril, and I might even try to flushing sinuses. Please, please, please, try to find a vet that will see him because I think this is very serious.![]()
I can also remove the pus. What would cause a sinus infection?PetsMart and PetCo carry something called API General Cure, but it contains 250 mg metronidazole and 75 mg praziqiantel. Not necessarily. It's possible that he has an infection from a foreign body, like a foxtail or piece of food, or it could also be from respiratory disease.@casportpony with a sinus infection wouldn’t there be more discharge?
Ok. What is weird, is how fast it happened. He was fine the day before, then the next morning he started swallowing. I thought it could be just some food. The 2 nights later he still was swallowing and I could hear him breathing. So I figured pneumonia because of the crappy weather here. So I started dura 10.Not necessarily.
