Please help

Definitely not dirt.

It probably is Fowl Pox.
Don't mess with the scabs...it can spread it.

Just leave them be and wait it out.
There is no reason to separate your birds unless one is getting picked on. Separating them is stressful and stress makes all illnesses worse.

I put them in a dog kennel in the run where all the chickens hang out. They don’t seem bothered. But should I let them out? Does separating them have no benefit?

No benefit unless they are beating each other up.

Let them out of jail.

Ok thanks a lot. Is there anything I can do to prevent spreading? And what about remedies? Vitamins? Nothing to do? Anything to put on their eyes, such as neosporon or some sort of ointment?
Vitamins are always good to give when they are not feeling so hot.
I would recommend not touching the scabs.
The more you mess with them the more there's a chance of them spreading and getting worse.
I would just leave them alone.

Ok I won’t touch the scabs. What kind of vitamins are recommended in this case?

Unless you have someplace where they are completely away from the others of the flock, penning them up serves no purpose. I'm talking several hundred feet, at least. And still, you could accidentally visit them, then go over to where your chickens hang out, draggng it along on the bottom of your feet, and spread it to the so-far unaffected ones.

Hmm I see. I thought I’d control it a bit by doing that, but seems like it’s pointless like everyone is saying. Thanks for the info.
