Please Help!!

How frustrating for you!

I read an article recently that due to COVID, hatcheries are overwhelmed with orders, as people have decided to raise their own poultry for eggs and meat. (How stupid, IMO)

Similar experience this spring with ordering vegetable seeds.

Everone thinks they can be a homesteader. SMH.

So annoying!! I am also upset at the fact that many people in my area have been purchasing ducks and chickens for fun with no real experience at all. Which is fine, as we all have to start somewhere. But I see people buying one singular duckling and keeping it in their house or without real feed etc. Very upsetting to me.

But it isn’t stupid :idunno Some people have to find ways to provide for their families.

Oh trust me I totally understand. My husband and I were both fired from our jobs and are living off what we have right now. I do not think it is stupid, I just think that after buying a coop, brooder set up, the chicks themselves, etc. you would be much better off buying a dozen from the store or from a local farm. Just my opinion though :)

Yeah but I mean due to shortages, etc. raising your own flock isn’t stupid. Totally get what you mean as well :)
