Please Help!!!

One of my 10 week old chickens is very sick. She free ranges with 19 ten week old chickens, 10 one year old hens and 2 seven week old chicks. How do I prevent it from spreading to the 31 other chickens? And how do I help her? She is lethargic, excessive drinking, runny green poop and moving in slow motion if she even moves at all.

To prevent it from spreading u will have to remove her from the flock immediately. Though some of the other chickens likely already have it . I’m sorry your chicken is sick, hope she gets better soon!

Can you post some pictures of her? Is her crop full, hard, doughy, or puffy, and does it empty by early morning? Can you post a picture of her droppings? Has she been eating or drinking? Do you have a picture of her droppings? Look her over for lice and mites? Coccidiosis should be considered, and Corid in the water can treat that.

I am trying to post pictures of her. Slow internet. Her crop feels really soft right now. Not sure how it feels in the early morning since she just seemed to get sick today. I tried to get a picture of her droppings but since it is just green water it immediately dissolves in the ground. I stood by her for a while waiting to get a picture of her droppings right when she poops but she wouldn't go while I was sitting there with the camera ready. I will try again in the morning when it is light out if she is still alive. I couldn't find any lice or mites on her. She hasn't been eating but she was drinking excessive amounts earlier today. She hasn't touched any water in a few hours.

Why do you suspect salmonella?
Is it hot where you live?

This is what I do when I have a bird that is acting 'off':
I isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so I can closely monitor:
-their intake of food and water,
-crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed),
-and their poops.
Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling.
Check for external parasites or any other abnormalities.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

I am not sure what she has. I type in her symptoms and that was what came up. It is hot, moist and muggy where I live. The chicken pen is shaded under the trees so it doesn't get much sun but the chickens are free range. I blocked her off in a section of the pen away from the other chickens but if she is still alive tomorrow then I will get a dog crate and put her in there. Not quite sure what she has. I didn't see any parasites or anything when checking her

Go to your feed store first thing in the morning to and get this:

Sold for cattle but is perfectly safe to use for chickens of all ages.
Your bird might be suffering from something that's called coccidiosis.
It is deadly if it is not treated quickly.
