Just because he won't drink don't assume he's not dehydrated. Animals of all kinds will stop drinking and eating if they feel sick even though they NEED it! If he's having a lot of drainage then he's losing moisture that way too just like humans do from vomiting and diarrhea. I've discovered through trial and error with my own animals that if I force them to drink (medicine dropper, very moist food, whatever) then when they get better hydrated they feel better and will usually start drinking on their own again. Just some thoughts from my own experience. Your mileage may vary
