Hello, we have 2 chickens. We had a few more in the beginning but they didn't make it so we are left with two beautiful hens. They're approx. 11 weeks old. They had been living in our garage in a coop until we recently finished their outdoor coop. It's about 20ftx10ftx6ft tall. We got them used to it by putting them in there more and more each day and about 3 days ago, they started sleeping in there too. It's a very large enclosure with a coop inside so they're double protected if a predator were to somehow get into the larger coop. They seemed to be doing great. They love being outdoors and having freedom. They have been inseparable and constantly follow each other around. Well, this morning I noticed that one of them seems to be quite fluffed up and isn't running away like she usually does when I go in to change their water. When I gave them their feed, she ate like normal, but seems to be lighter like she's lost some weight. She is also drinking alright. We have them on Scratch and Peck Feed and they get plenty of fresh water. What do you think is going on? Do I need to separate them? Could this be because they're outside all of the time now? We live in a suburb about an hour outside of Los Angeles so it's not particularly cold out. I'm so worried. Thanks for your advice.
