Dear Bella-Baloo,

I have seen this kind of problem in silkie hen once. In the beginning this strange mass looks like a tiny cauliflower. Initially i used many things but nothing helped. Then i used Thuja Occidentalis in 30 potency and this strange mass dropped from skin in few days approx 10 days.

i would recommend to use Thuja Occidentalis in 200 potency. i hope it will work.

I would wrap him in a towel to keep him calm for the surgery. Povidone iodine can be used straight bore cutting into skin, and can be diluted for soaking a wound. Here is a source for amoxicillin. If there is yellow, that is most likely chicken pus and it needs to be removed, antibiotics alone will not treat it.

what about putting drawing salve on it? The stuff stinks bad like tar, but it may draw out whatever is in there Poor thing

How is he doing? Were you able to get it off?

It went fairly well we were able to cut half of it off. Pour straight Iodine all over it a soaked it real good. next morning some swelling had gone down and I think it began shrinking. I will just keep putting that on it for now. He eats good and seems to have no other problems so maybe the Iodine for now? Thank you for asking and I will keep posting the progress report. I am anxious to see what lies beneath all of this!
