Please identify this Pea

In the first post picture one there is a small throat latch which means it is split to pied. I doubt it is split white cause no white flights. Here is two of my birds The first 2 pictures show a regular IB hen notice the white on the face and the last two pictures are an IB split pied notice the small white latch going down the neck and then look at your bird again and you will notice the small latch.

Here are your bird's head shots, do you see the throat latch now?

OH! Now the light comes on!

I thought I was looking for a little patch of white under the white on the throat. Your pictures are showing two little 'V's, one on either side, coming down from the throat, and that is called a latch. I have so much to learn, especially in terminology.

I believe a "throat latch" can come in all different sizes and shapes. Here are 2 of my males, one has a huge latch the other's is about 2 tiny feathers worth of white.

FBC is right on record keeping , and I would suggest you band both wings or do how ever you are going to do , 2 times. They will pull out wing bands or tear of leg bands , if there is a way to loose track of a bird it will happen. Then it is only a blue bird.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, connerhills

You're absolutely right. But you don't want to use the same male through the entire family. Keeping it within one generation is safest when inbreeding. But of course the best is keeping variety. When inbreeding best option would be brother and sister in my opinion. Best option would be variety between the blood lines.
Horse people frown upon such breedings.

OK, so far my research and from what you all have told me, this bird is probably either dark pied, or split to pied. Thanks for all the input!
The feed store I go to has hens like your boy in with a white male and all they ever produce is IB, white and birds with the white flights and throats. In the past five years that I've been going there they have *not* produced a pied, so I still say your boy is most likely split to white.
