Just cleaned out my coops and got rid of grass shavings in the floor. We are going to get more chickens in Spring, but I would like to get them Now. My two chickens are quite lonely since I lost two in Winter. We also cleaned out the nesting boxes and put dust on our two chickens since they had lice. Hopefully I can get more RIR's or Bantams. Me and my dad have to go finish up later and clean more. I hate the weather, its hot!

Do they still have lice? If so how often do you treat them?

If they have lice try bathing them in ACV mixed with water.

Um well that would be much more difficult & less effective due to the oil chickens put on their feathers to repel water.

I Would make sure it's gone before you get chicks it's difficult to treat the more birds you have & it can lead to illness & death when not treated.

We bathed our chickens in ACV and the lice died really quickly. XD
