please look--would you treat as for spraddle leg? chick not standing.

sadly, treating for spraddle leg did not work at all for us. had to separate, and he could not get to food or water by himself, even in small shallow containers. i gave it as much time as i could, but i have a HUGE work day tomorrow (work at a church, and it's our annual kids' service) and i knew no one would be around to help him to water at the least...that just wasn't going to be ok.

dh had a tank of CO2 from making beer (for kegging beer) and he followed the instructions for anaesthetization and then death using the CO2. little guy definitely did not seem to suffer. i felt bad but it was for the best. he seemed to be getting worse.

mine too hatched this morning and is sitting on its fuzzy little butt, but not standing. does this look like spraddle leg?

good news hes just started to stand but only for 2 seconds and then falls back on his butt again. ? is this a problem
