Please please help me

Did she have a blockage? Is that why he removed so much? Hey what ever she'll eat as long as it's soft foods. Right now getting everything back working is the important part. I've never had any of my poultry to have surgery but I know with humans and just had a friend have surgery to remove cancer from her intestines and soft diet is the best, and loss of appetite is normal just put vitamins into her drinking water. chopped up tomatoes and maybe try making a soupy mix of her feed. She's been through major surgery so it is going to be a while before she is feeling good again. Did he explain why he had to take so much of her intestines out?

@Maryam.
He said it was no way he could save that part of the intestine , cause she would have died of infection. He also said I can’t feed her vitamins(except for vit-B) for a week because of the infection and the wound. I should give her a high dose of antibiotics but she mostly resist drinking it, I think its bitter.
Surprisingly Daisy’s up and acting so normal except for oversleeping which is normal due to excessive blood loss. Her appetite is better, she tries to eat everything however I’m still trying to not feed her everything. I was warned to not leave her with Cookie cause she might bleed again and cookie might peck her; well I couldn’t separate them cause they were both so stressed to be alone the first night, I let them be together the day after and fortunately they look happy together.
Thanks for mentioning the soup, I’m gonna try it tonight.
Her vet said she will probably lose some weight for a while that made me concerned cause she is already underweight. I really hope she doesn’t lose weight:fl
Thank you so much for your help, you’re very kind :hugs

So Daisy looks better but there’s a little blood in her feces, I took her for a post-op visit the vet said it’s normal after what she’s been through. He also mentioned that he has removed about 20cm of her intestines !!! When he said he had removed a few cm of her intestines last night, I thought maybe 2 or 3cm, but 20??! I can’t even the pain she’s going through and how she’s gonna recover from such thing..
All she’s been eating today was tomatoes and nothing else, I’m so concerned about her. Does anybody have surgery experience with their duck? And What should I feed her now ? I would be grateful to hear about your experiences or advices.
My duck, Thimbleberry, had something similar happen to her about 3 years ago, but I think not as serious. I went to pick her up one evening and I felt something hard on her bottom. I couldn't tell what it was. It was almost as big as an egg and looked like it had some shell material but also something dark and was attached to something inside her. She was trying to push it out and was prolapsing.

Luckily we do have a 24/7 emergency avian hospital, so I called them and they told me to bring her in ASAP. They did emergency surgery at 11pm and I left her there overnight. They also tube fed her, gave her fluids, and antibiotic and vitamin injections. I brought her home the next day and kept her inside away from her flock for two weeks. She also had to take antibiotics at home. The mass was attached to Thimble's reproductive system, but her intestines were fine so we didn't have any dietary recommendations aside from make sure she eats.

I hope Daisy recovers well. Keep us updated.
