Please respond. Is this a boy or girl?

Ah yes, the usual case is that the males have the larger/wider combs at a young age.

But of course, sometimes past generation cross breeding and such can alter combs and growth rates.

Why are Silkies so difficult. It'd be so much easier if they were born with male and female rings on their legs :lau
Heck yeah to that!!! My daughter was like "aren't you glad now that I got you so many?" Uuuum NO now that is more I have to part with after all the hard work I put in raising them! :he

I have another confusing predicament. Is this a boy or a girl?

Pure guess on this one as I've never owned that breed.

If they are anything like my Bovan Goldlines then I'd say it's a Cockerel. If I'm wrong somone can correct me as I'm truly not sure.

However, my Bovan hens which are a hybrid and are similar I believe (?) don't have that big of a comb and wattles as seen here:

Parting with them is the hard part when you've raised them from chicks!

I've just hatched some Quails earlier today and I keep telling myself I can only keep one female but they all keep looking at me like 'keeeep meee' :barnie

Somone may know better than me on that 'boy' though as I'm just comparing him to my Bovans.
Maybe add him onto the 'don't know the breed or gender' thread I think it's called. Somone else there may verify or give another insight into what sex it is!

You do seem like you have ended up with quite a few Roos though unfortunately...:(

At least they don’t crow a lot too though.
