I'm gonna have to agree with the biting thing! Most of my chicks and chickens now bite down too hard, thinking that my palm is full of food. I raised my chickens from the time they were babies so they learned to eat out of my hand, but I would imagine that as they see you bringing their food they will soon learn to get close to you and perhaps even eat out of your hand. Like others said try out some treats and see which foods they like best. My big girls love oats but the general consensus is that they enjoy sprouts!
