Please, someone reply that has hatched quail!

your fine! I actually accidently forgot about one of my eggs that was set late after all of my other eggs hatched, so I didnt turn it got the last week an right on cue, my husband starts yelling for me so I run upstairs thinking something happened an here he was holding this pretty little button baby in his hands!!

another thing, when in doubt, call for Quail Lady!!

she's right, you could really hurt the baby if you dont know what your doing.
Also assisted babys are at higher risk of splayed legs (spraddled legs), also if you help them too soon, they could have not absorbed their yolk completely which could also be harmful to them if knocked off or pecked at by siblings.

Oh, thank you for the replies! I was waiting for quailady.

I didn't try, they are soo tiny. I have helped out LF chicks a few times with great results..but, thought I would wait for some more reply's.
So now, I have another pip, at least I think I can call it a pip..it looks like a crack. Keeping the humidity up around 65 at this time.

Like I said, due to hatch tonight..so, I just may have to go to bed and when I say my prayers, include my baby eggs...like I don't already!

Actually don't think I will be going to bed any time too soon. This is crazy. I've hatched so many chicks, a couple of turkeys, and 5 duck eggs, so thought I would try these little ones. Soo cute. Haven't felt this nervous since I my first time hatch with LF chicks.

Another update! I have a baby button! And I can't believe that it is the one that I was worried about. It did not look to be zipped at all! I just went in to check before bedtime if there were any more pipped. I saw the other eggs were misplaced, and got excited right away and started looking for a baby wondering which one hatched! It is yellow, and acting very strong! I can't believe the size! Tiny!!

I now have 5 babies...I think, I haven't checked in the last half hr.

Man, when they start to get out, they get out! Now they are running around like little bees flying around the bottom of the bator. Fast!

I take that back, I have 7!

Question, do the yellow ones usually turn white, like most baby chicks? I have one black, one that looks like it will be a brown and darker brown in it, maybe two like that. I'll have to post pictures to have the experts tell me my colors.

8 babies. What will the white be? Are the lighter ones the females? Just wondering if they can be sexed by color when hatched.

This is great, never imagined that I would get this many. Not sure how many are left in there. I started with 16.

Button quail are adorable

I just hatched out 75 that are dry, some still in the hatcher...it never gets old. As for genders. The only one that is 70/30 sexable by color is the red breasted hen.

Well I will send pictures of my eight. I'm going to wait until day 18..tomorrow. I started with 16 eggs. Here are the pictures. Just want to explain the black one and a yellow one.
The black one has white on his/her neck and chin. One of the yellow ones has a darker color going down the back, the other brown ones are different, they both have two different colors of brown in them.
