I know of at least one of the big hospitals in Des Moines is banning all child visitors *under the age of 18* unless they are there to be seen by a doctor. This decision is coming right on the heels of another death, this time an apparently otherwise healthy 34 year old.

I spent last night at work throwing up and running to the bath room while trying to run 3 machines.

I just came from the Dr. office, he took me off work for the rest of the week, so I call my work to tell them, they pretty much told me see ya, it was knowing you, so I guess I better get my butt to work sick or not.

My doc has me out all week - the antibiotics made me barf, so I am waiting on new ones and some ear drops to help me hear again. Good thing I know some sign language.

I know it is - it happened to me once. And then they denied my unemployment. In the end I received lost wages plus a few hundred my trouble. however, if I am too sick to go to work, telling me to come in or lose my job is only gonna get them in trouble. I am not coming in and if you fire me - see ya in court! My doctors slip is all the attorney I need. (I live in CA).

I work in a hospital in the ICU and they do NOT accept Dr's notes!!! How frustrating and aggravating is that? Would you want to go visit your loved one in the hospital and see a sick nurse caring for them? I called in one day for running a fever, sick, yuck and the boss was waiting for me the next shift
