Last post was 4 hours ago. At that time I had a purple,Thangette, and 1 IB just pipped. I started looking at the number of eggs that was due for this birthday merlot hatch-a-long and noticed many so I then decided after planting garden I better fire up the hatcher since this time about 7 diffrent colors was in this group. Got 2 gallons of distilled water, fired up the air compressor and got some windex, cleaned the hatcher up and started it to get things adjusted and then opened the incubator up to see a IB completely out and it wasn't pipped earlier.Llittle Thangette hasn't made any progress but I put the new IB Pied chick inside the hatcher since it's chirping all the time it will be a morale booster for others. Zaz there is 3 bssp eggs that are in the hatcher too.
Congrats!

New2,,what's it worth? I bet Thangette 2014 will be a solid white, just give it a few days and those flights will change. Has anyone here seen a peach bssp peachick before? Had a bssp chick hatch today as well (been a GREAT merlot hatch-a-long day btw) that is not solid yellow, has NO white flights, and seems lighter than an IB. Too early to know if it has a throat latch but it is not marked like a pied. It definately is NOT a b/s. I have one peach hen in with the bssp pen,2 others are bssp hens, one is silver pied split to b/s and 1 dark pied and one silver pied hen in this group.
Also I hatched for the first time a purple chick that shows no white flights,Wonder if Birdrain can sex this new group for me? They are less than 24hrs old, maybe tomorrow

Tomorrow afternoon, I promise pics will be up of the little Thangette,or Thanglette. Going to the Tri K Swap meet in the morning to try and move some IB birds from last year and 4 2012 hatched IB males that constantly are fighting with one another.
