Please Support the One and Only Thang

It was 11pm,,pitchblack outside when we started the re-housing of the peas.Last night I moved all 5 birds in the midnight pen,6 birds in the purple pen,and the 3 Opals and not one went stupid like this on me.Thang hatched here,I thought I gave him plenty of peachick-human bonding time??
Maybe you need a pea "whisperer" to visit Thang? Sorry, that's just the not so "natural" horse person in me trying to make a joke...

Casportpony,,Thang seems immune to treatment,,whispering would really take him over the edge.Tonight I went out to take some pics of Pea Palace and figured Thang fans needed an update. Saturday eve was very trying for me when I had to move Thang,he ripped my new jersey with his toenails.I reminded him quickly that "bird day" was less than 2 weeks away and he could be front and center on the dining room table.Taking pics today showed Thang has made little,if any progress accepting people as his caregivers.
New2,,several of these new pics of Thang are to prove he still is alive and well,,physically that is,,,mentally,,the huge vacumn still exists between his ears.I think his new growing train is already equal in length if not longer than his tail feathers was all this past summer.Maybe they will get to be 5' long for the 2013 breeding season.
Mmmaddie13,,,your white pea named Wylie,,99% of his genetics had to have came from his mother hen and NOT Thang.I checked back in my hatch records and learned Thang and 7 other peachicks all hatched within 2 days of each other.Evidently Thang had competition for getting all the attention and lost out.The mother of your Muppet? we named Scooter hatched the same day as Thang,,and what a big diffrence personality wise between them two.Time for pics

These were taken after Thang made his great escape to the outside pen.Notice he is pacing the fence? He wants to be outta sight,,outta mind! I'm positive he's already "outta mind" but can't get outta my sight while in the front Charcoal pen.

Now meet Thangs replacement option for 2013. I hatched this handsome guy last summer from more of Bigcreekpoultry's eggs. This was the only male I kept outta 8 males that hatched last summer. The other 7 Males were IB split to peach from Loudenfarms who have since been re-homed.I also kept my 2 Opal,2 Purple B/S,,and 1 BSSP hen.I think we have settled on naming this guy Siren,,because he's so alert and very vocal.
