Disagree but Bf did the math. Birds will peck at others usually more neck area or butt most what your showing on her is dried mud I think
 
If you do have a bug problem, I had no luck with DE. I bought a 50# bag. I had mites and lice and used DE and after a couple of weeks they were no better so then I started treating them and their coop with permethrin. Within a couple of weeks they did improve. I continued treatments for another 2 weeks and they really showed improvement. I also put poultry dust in their nest boxes. I know many people swear DE did the trick for them and maybe it did work for them but certainly didn't work for me. Good luck...
