Please tutor me to raise Cornish X for my freezer

Well now I'm a little worried that mine aren't growing fast enough!

Ummmmmm......... here's my thoughts and remember this is just my 2nd batch of CX. I would rather have them grow SLOWER so they don't develop troubles and have to be culled early... My last batch of 11 are at just over 10 weeks and no leg troubles so far. Going to try and make them up to 11 weeks and start butchering.

Anyone else have thoughts on the growth difference?

It looks like you're a little over and I'm a little under, so I think we're ok...lol

I have a thread going with mine too... just trying to keep track of everything.

Maybe I should cut down to 10 hours of feed a day, instead of 12. ??? Maybe that is what I will do. I do not want them to die on me from my own negligence, as I am already worried about the hot summer days!

If it's hot there, that might be a good idea... I don't HAVE any heat

so mine aren't being affected by that... in fact I'm wondering if the cool is making them burn more calories that a bird in the hot weather?? So many variables!

They were under a light less than a week, and I moved them outside with no heat. It was 100* days, now only about 90* .... but it is to get down to 68 - 70* tonight (must be a cold front moving in! LOL ) ....

I am just gonna go with 10 hours feed for a week, and see how that goes.
