How do you keep from getting electrocuted with all the water pouring down around the wires and electric motor when running the Whizbang type plucker?

For the wiring, use water tight, outdoor receptacles.

For the motor use a farm motor to start with, then make a custom cover for it to keep it relatively dry. The most common is a bucket.

Also, use GFI outlet for safety reasons.

Think of it as the same concept of a dishwasher or washing machine that runs on electricity AND requires water. As long as the two never touch, you should be good to go.

I don't stand around my washing maching with a water hose squirting water into it that is running out the bottom soaking the ground. I was watching people use these things on youtube and it just looked really dangerous to me.
