Hello... I have 35 eight week old Buff Orpingtons and Barred Plymoth Rocks. It is looking like the cockrel to pullet ratio is about 20 to 15 so far. That means that in another month or two I will need to process about 20 birds in one day.
I usually pluck my birds by hand but I've only done about 6 at a time. I had planed on building a whizbang plucker but have not had the time or spare cash to get that started. I was wondering if anyone in the Lenoir NC region has a plucker to rent out for a day...
