plucking the top knot of silkies for showing

will you be DQ 'd if you dont pluck their top knot and they cant see /you cant see their eyes
how do i go about doing this evenly and so it will look nice for a show
?

I would think plucking would be considered "faking" which would be a DQ.

but its very interesting what he said that cut fathers dont grow back so i have one bird whos feathers got urnt by a heat lamp does that mean if i plucked them they may have grown back in time for the show??? lol how long would it take for the feathers to grow back

I believe it takes a minimum of 5 or 6 weeks for a feather to grow back.
