We have no fertile eggs as yet but that will change fast. Our rooster has been trying even with bad leg but I will have to AI in order to get fertile eggs. This should be interesting to say the least.

Asking the BR experts here, but do all BR chicks have a white dot on the top of their head? I bought 2 today from my local feed store who only orders in maybe 3 breeds at a time(this time it was Gold sex-links, Black sex-links, and Barred Rocks). The two I bought from another place had white dots on their heads, but these two new little ones do not. Just curious if they have to have the dot or not? Thanks heaps for helpin' with my peeps!!!

Hi! I recently purchased 2 PBR pullets from a local woman who got them through a hatchery but I don't know which one. They are now 3 weeks and don't look alike. I'm wondering why one is getting black legs...also, they are very different in color. I've posted a few pictures. I wanted to be able to tell them apart which I definitely can right now!! They look hilarious right now!

According to what I have read on the Barred Rocks,
the hen is darker colored than the Roosters, so you appear to have one male and one female from your picture.
the male is the one that looks more gray colored.

hummm came here looking for baby pics... I have 3 - 2 month old columbian rocks and I am checking on their sex... fairly certain they are all females though one appears to be a bit ahead of the others comb wise.

Though I know most of you don't have the columbians I assume a rock regardless of colouring would have similar combs etc. Any one have baby pics around 2 months of a roo and a hen
