Walt, I noticed that at the Crossroads show. Seemed that regardless, the pullets AND hens were lighter in yellow coloring than ANY of the males.

My one remaining hen (from my original sppr flock of four) has holes punched in her toes. I don't know what this means. Should I learn to punch her offspring with a hole pattern? Should this pattern be different for each hen, or for each rooster?
Also, I noticed that my 3 roosters' legs are all quite a bright yellow, while the hens from the same parents have dusky yellow legs. Maybe I'll be able to sex them very early because of this? Or this may be just a coincidence this year.
