This is a nice female - where is from (what bloodlines)? Is she laying yet? The legs in my line seem to start out nice & yellow, but then fade when they begin to lay.

She is from Murray.

I would assume she is laying, she was the first one to molt and has been finished a while now. She will be 1 year old in the 1st week of Feb. That said I have never seen her lay an egg, the only chickens I seem to notice laying eggs are the ones that get broody and the noisy ones.

WillC - that seems like a nice bird for hatchery stock! Do you have a way to weigh her? I'd LOVE to know what she weighs! Incidentally, mine are very quiet layers as well. Maybe that's par for the breed.
