Plymouth Rock thread!

Pics
Just home from a 700 mile round trip .... I went to pick up Barred Rocks from Jeremy Woeppel of XW Poultry Ranch in Chambers, NE. He got his stock last year from Frank Reese in Kansas.

I can hardly wait for the day when I can actually look at them and choose which is better than the others. I have alot to learn!

Just a few quick snapshots ..... but I will try to get some good pictures tomorrow ...

When
it comes to Silver Pecilled large fowl only about three strains I know of the oldest breeder is Bob Murphy of Maine. Many others who have this color pattern got their birds from him. For you who have not seen this color pattern here are some nice bantam pictures. Guy Roy of New York had one of the best ones ever breed large or small see his pictures. Also, why you are at this site look at the other color patterns. They all are the pride of our Club. Nice pictures of some pretty Rocks being show on this site the barreds are really improving. Hope you can see the difference in the barring on the old syle barred rock vs the hatchery stock most people have. Bob Blosl Secetary of the Plymouth Rock Fanciers Club
