Plymouth Rock thread!

5 of the 15 Silver Pencilled Plymouth Rocks. One Easter Egger looks EXACTLY like them, minus the comb (no doesn't have a beard). The other is all black with white wing tips. All so healthy and very active for 24 hours old.
Hi Aoxa. Thanks for posting the pic. Looking good! I notice that the one in the foreground is very light coloured. Good luck with them. Nice to finally get some summer weather here on the east coast too.

It's the light. Picture is over exposed. They all look very similar. Some have darker centres in the chipmunk pattern, but that's about it.

Yes, really hot day today! Very nice night as well.

Thank you again for all the eggs. Very much appreciated.

They are beautiful..look a lot like my Light Brahmas without the feathered legs...at least now I know what I'm looking at and the difference between some breeds...Thanks for the post!

The SPPR are big fans of the Eco Glow.

They should seriously endorse me. ;) lol

But in all reality, this product is so worth it. I've noticed ZERO pasty bum, and quicker feathering.. quicker to get off of the heat as well, and no overheating when they flip over early after hatch. I lost quite a few to heat lamps when they flipped..

17 standard chicks under this thing. Aren't they cute?

SILVER ROCK-- those SPR are growing up fast---lots of feathering for just 10 weeks on a Rock at least... these do not appear to be like the GSBR's that have the slow feathering gene (to make those bars nice and clear)... penciling is looking good...however, I do not know alot about this pattern in particular...

Are you planning on selecting for mostly type and/or size this go round?
