Well, of course.

They're all fabulous hens, very sweet. Ida is slightly standoffish, but even she has become my good buddy lately. She is very intimidating with her size and her pitbull growl so even higher ups bow to her.

Thank you very much TNBEARCHICK for posting the Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock pictures. You have a VERY NICE GROUP OF SPPR. ;) I will admit I am very partial to the SPPR and very happy to see yours. :)

I have hatchery stock Barred Rocks, my current Rooster is throwing straw but I picked up a replacement from a friend who breeds them and he looks a little nicer so far. So supper plate for the old man.
But I agree I was in love with the SPPR from moment one.

Actually, my personal favorites are the Barreds, but I also have blue, black and splash, with blue being a close second to the barreds for me in the PRs. My blues have recently been molting so not great pics of those hens at the moment. In PRs, I'm generally not fond of whites, buffs and though I know many love the SPRs, they are not among my favorites as far as color variety. To each his own, right? Plymouth Rocks, period, are fabulous, though! To me, it's right at the top of the list for best all round breed for a backyard/farm flock.

Does anyone have pictures of columbian rocks or partridge rocks? I have fallen in love with all th PRs. Unfortunately have just one Barred. And it will be sometime before I can get anymore chicks. So I have to live vicariously through you all!
