Morning all!!! Where ya been??!!

Here are a couple of update pix from my bunches.

First is a few of the Columbian Rock roo I am leaning toward keeping for breeding purposes. He has excellent color, long flat back, slate undercolor, wings are colored better than the other 4 and he outweighs his hatchmates by 1 lb!!! Legs are a little pale, but seem to be improving

Rocks........Love your Columbian rooster. He's gorgeous! Any updated shots of the girls? Have they started laying yet?

ETA: The BR's are coming along nicely too. They look like an optical illusion.

I have 2 of 5 pullets laying. The 2 laying girls are not of very good "type". They appear to be silver wheaten based...thus "white" fluff and undercolor. Undercolor should be a slate grey, like you see in that cockerel. I "think" I can breed that out though so they are staying for now. The young girls are getting close...faces are getting red and combs/wattles are changing. Still a little early though. I think it will be mid-Sept...they were hatched around 4/1/10. They are 19 weeks old this Thursday. Will try to get some pix later today.
