I got my first egg from one of my SPPR's yesterday. It took her 27 weeks and 3 days to get around to it, but FINALLY!

I was a bit shocked at first about the large size of the egg (it had a bit of blood on it too) but I think it's a double yolker. She will help make up for the loss of eggs due to my older girls getting ready to molt.

Yes I hatched 5 pullets and 3 roos from Wynette's eggs and I have another roo from Ugly Ducky's stock he's is starting to get very handsome as he's about a month older than Wynette's I'm hoping to have it figured out which roos to keep by the time they mature a little. I've been reading all the Silver Penciled articles I can find so glad to have Bob and Walt on here to give advise. I just love the shape on these babies.
 
Lotsa - how old are your SPPRs? (sorry....I have a terrible memory for these things!)

Have you posted pics of them yet?
