Here is a story for you. Yesterday we left the house and was gone most of the day. When we got back chickens were hungry. Real hungry. Both roosters walked right up to me. Which in itself is not unsual but not both together. Anyway i left front door open since I was going right back out to feed. My main rooster Alpha was on top step about to walk in house when i told him to wait I was getting food. He walked back down and waited at new feeding place. Now thats a good rooster. Got some BOSS for that he did.
Have not been following this thread but thought I would post and find out if anyone has Blue Plymouth Rock hatching eggs for sale or could point me in the right persons direction, would appreciate the input. Purchased Blue Rocks previously from Halo of BYC, but would like to diversify my bloodlines a bit. Thank you for your input.
Blues are as rare as my Partirdge. I will check my sources as i think I remember right there was another breeder listed. If I find it i will PM you the info.
Better bet is too look for a good black. They would be easier to find than a splash. That would get you new blood. There is only one other breeder I know of and I have no contact info for it was erased from the site it was on. So try a good black that is the recomendation from a top breeder that used to bred them eons ago.
I too have blues from Kathy (Halo). She is one of the only and one of the best. Do you have a blue or splash cockerel/roo?
If so, I might suggest using a very nicely typed Barred or White Rock if you feel you need genetic diversity
Thank you for your responses. No Splash, only shades of Blue on 4 cockerals to decide on. Ended up hatching 10/16 w/ 4 male 6 females, oh and can you say GORGEOUS!! Just a little concerned, maybe I don't need to be, of mating brother with potential sisters. Do appreciate the feedback.
Also, saw the picture of the Partridges and they are just beautiful.

How many do you have of each sex? A good mating program would take your sire and breed to best daughters and mothers to best sons. You can get many lines doing this.
