Big question, I've hatched out about 30+ silver pencils in the last month. I'm noticing that in lightest down chicks they are being born with very yellow legs, whereas I've always had these that start pale and then get more yellow. This is the first breeding season for my flock. I'd love to hear some ideas about this. I'm going to be chronicling their weight as I am looking to increase the weight on the flock/

I've just never hatched chicks in this variety with such yellow legs

too young to tell, but I'll try to keep track. What is the best identifier for chicks. I've got so many different leg band configurations it's making me crazy - I need to switch to something more reliable, any reccomendations
