Polish crested - hen or roo?

Do you think this 4 week old polish crested is a hen or roo? We ordered a breeding pair but the other chick mysteriously died last week.

With no comb or wattles showing up at all it looks like maybe a hen to me.

Wow what a lovley looking chicken x its hard to tell. I have 3 silkie cross hens and one has a fluffy head like yours but no comb or wattles and she is a she.

i would say to young to tell, all my polish hard virtually no wattles until 6 weeks, by 8 weeks i can tell bosy easily.

I'm going with hen. Best wait a few weeks though. Polish are difficult to sex. But lack of wattles and round crest make me think that's a girl.

The ends of the crest feathers look rounded, as does the crest itself. I'm going with girl, too.
